The project is intended to give a new use to an existing terrace of 640 m2 on the first- floor flat roof of the Hotel Los Jardines in Lorca.

The main ideas to develop have been to give priority to the existing views to the Castle of Lorca, to control the sunlight, and finally to create versatile multifunctional and divisible spaces, serving different uses at the same time. For this purpose, we install a perimeter at a higher level for a relax or chill out area. The interior is left completely free to allow different layouts with mobile furniture. We include a green perimeter wall of native vegetation for greater warmth and privacy. To control the sunlight, we opted for a wooden central structure and small perimeter sunshades that in turn generate different spaces.
